约瑟夫·康奈尔：我不只是草间弥生的男朋友

《Rose》一经放出就受到了极大的好评，不过在首映的时候就上演了是康奈尔一生中著名的名场面。

在电影首映的当天康奈尔选择了MOMA进行单元首映，这一举动吸引了很多艺术家前来，其中也包括达利。

在开始放映《Rose》期间达利突然开始变得极端躁动，在电影播放到一半的时候就大声骂道“王八蛋！”然后直接掀翻了投影仪。

之候达利也表示了抱歉“我有一个拍片计划与此相同，我正打算找赞助商把它给拍出来……我从来没有写下或者告诉任何人这个想法，但好像被他给偷了去。”也有另一种说法－似乎更有诗意－达利辩解道：“他从我的潜意识中偷走了我的创意。”

康奈尔和草间弥生的八卦恋情，好像在现在来看比他的作品要知名的多，草间弥生一直称他为“全美最伟大的艺术家”。
