据悉，视频发布后，网友们反应不一。有网友指责，这样的分娩方式不值得提倡和学习，更不应该将视频上传至网络，但也有许多网友称，她们在看完视频后，对于分娩的心理负担有所减轻。
据英国《每日邮报》7月13日报道，现居美国犹他州的43岁妇女西蒙娜o瑟伯(Simone Thurber)，因一段4年前自己在河中分娩的视频走红网络。
当时，在没有医护人员在场的情况下，西蒙娜在河中生下了她的第四个孩子，她的丈夫录下了整个分娩过程并上传至网络，目前点击量已高达5200万次。
