国际在线专稿：据英国《每日邮报》1月26日报道，来自墨西哥的41岁摄影师奥克塔维奥·阿伍尔托近期在墨西哥加利福尼亚湾沿岸的普尔莫角国家公园内拍摄到了成千上万只蝠鲼（又称“魔鬼鱼”)集体凌空飞跃的超壮观场面。
据阿伍尔托介绍，这群“魔鬼鱼”跃出水面3米多。成千上万条“魔鬼鱼”集体凌空飞跃，下落后击打在水面上，水花雷动，宛如暴雨降落。作为一名野生动物摄影师和自然资源保护者，阿伍尔托自1994年开始拍摄记录墨西哥沿海水域，他的作品致力于关注保护类物种、保护海洋生态。
据悉，蝠鲼身体扁平，强大的胸鳍类似翅膀，因其形状吓人而被称为“魔鬼鱼”。成鱼的体长可达7米，体重有5000千克，可是它能作出一种旋转状的跳跃。
不过“魔鬼鱼”为什么要跃出海面的确切原因目前还不得而知，科学家对此行为产生过种种猜测，多数人认为这是一种甩掉身上寄生虫和死皮的自我清洁方式。美国海洋学家沃特·芒克（Walter Munk）称“魔鬼鱼”跃出海面或只是为了寻找乐趣。
