据通报，10月16日16时50分，勐腊县森林公安局接110指挥中心转警称：“瑶区乡纳卓村委会曼帕村小组旁边保护区内发现一具亚洲象尸体，请你局前往处置”。接报后，州、县森林公安局迅速组织人员赶赴现场，经勘验调查，象尸现场位于勐腊县瑶区乡纳卓村委会曼帕村小组以东约1500米处的勐腊子保护区森林内，为一具雄性亚洲象，尸体已腐败，象牙被取走，系被制式枪支射杀。

州、县党委政府高度重视案件侦破工作，要求公安机关全力破案，严厉打击犯罪分子。州森林公安局将该案确定为勐腊县瑶区“10?16”猎杀亚洲象专案，成立以局长为组长、副局长为副组长的专案组，抽调勐腊县森林公安局、勐腊、尚勇、勐仑派出所和州局刑侦大队、技术科的精干力量组织专案侦察。专案组深入林区村寨调查走访，开展枪支清查收缴工作，采取举报有奖措施发动群众协助破案。勐腊县公安局、保护区管理部门也积极参与到案件侦破工作中。

目前，专案工作正紧张有序进行，希望各界群众积极提供案件线索，协助公安机关偵破案件。对提供重要线索破获案件的，奖励2万元，对提供线索直接破案的，奖励4万元。图片来源：央视新闻微博
