海外网2月12日电 据美联社报道，近日，美国弗吉尼亚州一名男子手持一把长刀企图自残，并用刀威胁接近他的警官，被警方当场击毙。

弗吉尼亚警方表示，10日，他们接到报案并出警，发现一名男子持刀正在企图自残。警方劝说了他几个小时，希望他能放下刀具。然而当警方试图接近该男子时，他突然举起刀具，并“以威胁的方式”走近其中一名警官。于是，一名二等警官开枪射杀了该男子，认为他构成了“直接威胁”。

弗吉尼亚警方目前没有公布涉事警官和被枪杀男子的姓名或种族。相关调查仍在进行中。（海外网/王珊宁）
