四川茂县叠溪镇两河口村村民张连成也是茂县发生山体垮塌的受害者之一，他家与新磨村直线距离不到1公里，泥石流让他家里8位亲人被埋。

他讲述了当时可怕的一刻：24日早上5时40分许，还在睡梦中的他被巨响吵醒，“天下着雨，房子在发抖，雾很大，只看到新磨村那边像一把大火在往前推。”早上6时许，他赶到现场，才发现新磨村新村组全部被埋，"大哥、二哥、三哥、大姐4家8口人被埋在下面了。"记者田雪皎
