【环球网综合报道】美国在台协会(AIT)台北办事处将于12日举行新馆落成典礼，美方出席人士备受关注。台湾自由电子报7日称，已确定由美国国务院主管教育与文化事务的助理国务卿玛丽·罗伊斯出席，其丈夫正是“台湾旅行法”幕后推手、美国众议院外交委员会主席罗伊斯。

报道提及，之前曾传出特朗普政府可能派出白宫国家安全顾问博尔顿赴台。《南华早报》5日援引不具名的消息人士的话称，美国不派内阁官员参加新馆落成，是因为顾虑大陆将强烈反弹，甚至驱逐美国驻华大使。报道还提及，美国可能派出无官职的重要人士，可能人选包括特朗普总统的长子。据悉，过去曾访台的美国国务院官员最高层级就是助理国务卿。(于名)
