安置所被烧毁后，李逢华等人在现场清理猫的尸体。
2016年2月18日，北京，17日晚8点左右，在右安南桥附近，爱心人士为流浪猫搭建的猫舍起火，猫舍内的30多只流浪猫全部丧生。爱心人士怀疑系人为纵火并报警。
家住右安门外的李女士一直在关注流浪猫，每天喂养30多只流浪猫，并为所有的流浪猫注射疫苗，做完绝育手术。担心这些流浪猫受冻，李女士为它们搭建了一个帐篷。为避免流浪猫对附近居民带来不便，李女士特意将猫舍选在右安南桥附近一个偏僻的角落里。起火的猫舍内全是一些老弱病残的流浪猫，在帐篷内安置了10个猫笼和一些废旧沙发及被褥取暖，准备等气温回暖以后将它们放出。
