然而，押运途中要克服的困难并不只有“热”——一般的室内环境声音只有五六十分贝，而车辆运行过程中，八九十分贝的噪音是常有的事，有时候最高能到一百二三十分贝，长此以往，战士们听力或多或少有损伤。有战士说，“有时任务结束后回家两三天，还在持续耳鸣，整个头皮都发麻。”即便如此，战士们还是常常苦中作乐，把筷子当指挥棒唱歌、把下棋当静心的方式、把中途上厕所当做折返跑训练……一次次的绝密押运任务，也成为了战士们的骄傲。
每个人每天都会用到的钱币，从造币厂到金库，再到银行，会经历一段绝密行程：出发时间不确定，将去的地点、押运金额、行程日期也不确定，参与人员甚至彼此也不知晓……央视记者登上武警押运钱币货车，记录了绝密押运过程。
天津的金库是中国人民银行的重点库，这里是连接华北和西南地区的一个重要枢纽。在天津有一支特别的武警中队，一直从事着鲜为人知的绝密武装押运钱币工作。
