蔡英文7日视察“国军联合作战指挥中心”，观看大屏幕上的对岸解放军动态，神情相当专注，略显严肃。蔡英文上午先到装甲宪兵营巡视，与士兵吃完午餐后，下午便到俗称“衡山指挥所”的联合作战指挥中心进行视察，在战情中心停留，观看对岸解放军的动态。现场只见蔡英文收起白天面对宪兵的笑容，仔细观看大屏幕显示的海、空解放军状况，神情相当专注严肃。根据发布照片，蔡英文与严德发等高阶将领坐在有玻璃窗的房内，居高临下看着下方，以麦克风通话，应是大型兵棋台与计算机显示屏等，显示台海当前军情、大陆与台湾部队状况等信息。
“衡山指挥所”位于台北市士林区鸡南山内，有一隧道出口士林官邸后方，是台湾方面紧急及战时的最高指挥中心。据了解，鸡南山挖空建构而成的地下指挥中心，内部坑道错综复杂。图为6月7日蔡英文在端节前夕，巡视“国防部”联合作战指挥中心，慰勉执勤人员辛劳，并颁发加菜金。
