当地警方于29日确认，24日发现的遇害女子就是失踪多日的成都女孩冷梦梅。
据澳媒报道，被指控谋杀冷梦梅的嫌犯正是其姨父DerekBarrett，他来自澳大利亚中海岸的Gwandalan地区，与冷梦梅的姨妈结婚。当地警方透露，冷梦梅被刺30多刀，目前正在调查死者是否曾遭遇性侵，正在等待DNA化验结果。记者张元玲
据澳大利亚媒体SMH等最新报道，涉嫌杀害冷梦梅的嫌疑人系其姨父。报道称，冷梦梅在悉尼一直与姨妈、姨夫、表弟生活在一起，其姨夫为一名27岁的白人男子。随后，就有媒体和微信公众号据此就认定姨父就是凶手并大肆转发。对此，新州警方通过其官方微博回应称：该名男子确实与死者相识，但现还只是嫌疑犯身份。警方呼吁大家耐心等候法庭审判，以免引起不实猜测。冷梦梅的母亲已经到达澳大利亚，将出席庭审。
