警方表示，出售“鬼娃娃”的小贩，多从中国入口娃娃，但他们没有按规定向当局缴交入口税，迫使当局採取行动拉人。警方指，被捕人士涉嫌没有缴交多达10万泰铢的入口税。在泰国国内，愈来愈多人带同“鬼娃娃”出门，例如出席佛教仪式、去餐厅食饭，甚至是坐飞机。
　据悉，风靡泰国的“鬼娃娃”（Luk Thep）可持机票上飞机，敲响泰国移民局警方的警钟，担心走私罪犯有机可乘，利用“鬼娃娃”走私毒品等违禁品。警方因此反对让乘客将“鬼娃娃”带上机，并表示将为此提高警惕。图为“鬼娃娃”资料图。
