当地时间21日，缅甸东北部的克钦族自治邦内一处玉石矿场发生山体滑坡。根据目前最新的消息显示，此次灾难已造成至少90人遇难。报道称，一名地方官员表示，在21日晚上，救援队已找到了79具遇难者遗体，22日早上又发现了11具，所以到目前为止，总共找到了90具遇难者遗体。但由于还有近百人失踪，所以预计遇难者人数还会继续上升。
