6月20日，在沙特阿拉伯麦加，中国铁建对麦加轻轨项目进行试运营。

沙特阿拉伯政府日前将麦加轻轨运营合同授予这条轻轨的建设者——中国铁建股份有限公司（中国铁建），合同金额为3.5亿里亚尔（约合9300万美元）。已经进驻麦加轻轨项目场地的中国铁建轻轨项目管理团队20日开始对各项设备系统检查调试，为将于8月开始的2018年麦加朝觐乘客运营做准备。新华社发（董立巍摄）
