据《太阳报》6月10日报道，6月9日，美国田纳西州62岁的Leimome Cheeks被邻居拍到带两个孙子外出时，竟让他们呆在狗笼里，放在汽车后部，而当天的气温高达35℃。6月10日，Leimome Cheeks被捕，面临着虐待儿童的指控。

在邻居拍到的视频中，一个穿着绿色裤子和紫色T恤的孩子从一个小小的狗笼子里爬出来。Leimome Cheeks告诉警察，之所以这么做是因为车里没有多余的可以坐下的空间了，她还时常在路上停下来查看孩子们的状况。两个孙子却说车里很热，很闷。

对此，邻居们都感到很震惊，但同时他们都表示Leimome Cheeks平常是个挺好的人。

Leimome Cheeks面临被控两项危害儿童罪，最高可判处12年监禁。
